Fiona Kruger, former design student at the University of Art and Design Lausanne ECAL, worked with Swiss watch industry suppliers in order to complete her final project, Memento Mori.

Memento Mori interprets the mortality in watchmaking. Inspiration for the project came from Dia de los Muertos art and a skull-shaped timepiece of Mary Queen of Scotts.
The skull is constructed of silver and mineral hand cut glass and is engraved by hand. The dial is made of gold and plated brass. “Momento Mori” is fastened to the wrist by a blued calf leather band and silver buckle. (BeautifulLife)
