I’m smitten. I’ve seen this kind of work before (notably in the film the Matrix) but not necessarily with dance.
With a handful of videos released this week The 360 Project uses a cross between photography and video with 48 cameras arranged in a circle to capture all angles – 360 degrees around the subject.
The two dance videos represent opposite techniques – showing the essence of each dance type and they come across beautifully.
The director of the project, Ryan Enn Hughes, is based in Toronto and is a motion picture director and photographer who has a great deal of work in his portfolio and several contracts from The New York Times to Facebook.
